  1. Last year I flu down to Vegas to compete at your event at the Mr. Olympia. I was a Purple belt 50 years old/ 160 lbs After nothing going on the first day I came back the second day and waited around for a couple of hours. There eventually was no one in my category to fight. Your team just wanted to give me a first place medal. I was a bit upset.I am not a negative person and understand things like this happen and it isn’t something you hope for either. I paid to compete both days and never ended up competing at all. I would consider coming down again this year but would like to know if there will be more competitors. Can you keep me posted or is there a way to know if there are competitors to fight any age. 160 lbs purple belt.

  2. Hey Perry,

I’m very sorry to hear about your experience last year! I’m hoping that with us changing this event to our much more popular “Best of the West” and combining it with the Mr. Olympia Expo, that we will have a much larger turn-out than last year (1000+). I appreciate your positive attitude towards the unfortunate situation and would like to offer you a complimentary registration to this year’s event. Unfortunately, as these events go, there is no way for me to guarentee you a competitor in your age/weight division. With Masters/Executives/Kids/Teens/Women, you’ll find that almost all tournaments tend to be hit or miss because there are so many different weights, ages, and skill levels to try and match up, and a much smaller pool of competition to draw from. If you would still like to come out, we would love to have you there! Please email me at to register and I’ll take care of the rest. You can also reach me at 310-427-4737 (tournament line) if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you again for your respectful approach.

  3. I don’t understand why all major tournaments don’t post a competitors list online. Makes it really easy to know of you’ll have a match or not.
