September 21 in California: Fighting a Battle Within, a Jiu-Jitsu Motivational Seminar with Prof. Chad Robichaux
Did you know that every day 22 war veterans commit suicide? Or that tonight, 200,000 of our nations heroes sleep homeless on the streets of America? Or that the divorce rate among marines is close to 90%?
The reality is tough coming back from military service. Many war veterans develop a condition called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which makes adapting to a normal life a tough battle for them.
A Gracie Barra Black Belt, Marine, and MMA Champion Chad Robichaux has fought the battle against PTSD and won. He is now on a quest to help other combat veterans do the same through the Mighty Oaks Foundation. The Mighty Oaks Foundation is a non-profit organization that works off donations only and covers all costs for Veterans and families to attend, including travel. There has been 1500 graduates of the program with 0 suicides and no divorces.”
The morning of Saturday, September 21st 2013 will be a memorable time for San Clemente. Professor Robichaux will come to Gracie Barra San Clemente Martial Arts for a Jiu-Jitsu and Motivational Seminar. This will be an amazing opportunity for our students to learn from one of the finest fighters of today. Most importantly, it will be an amazing opportunity for the community of San Clemente to show their support to the Marines and and combat veterans.
Attendance: The event is opened to the community. Anyone is welcome. To be part of the practical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar, please come wear a Gracie Barra Uniform or regular workout clothes.
This is an donation based event done in partnership with the Mighty Oaks Foundation. All proceeds will be used to help combat veterans fight their battle against PTSD.
