April 4 in Ontario: 1st Copa Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

Registration starts March 10th and ends March 31st (no exceptions).
Until March 27th $50,00 CAD Until March 31st 60,00
Athletes from U.S. and other Provinces must pay for BJJFO day pass U.S. $ 10.00
Representatives be present at the place.
You need a photo ID proving your home.
ONTARIO athletes must to have be settled with BJJFO www.ontariobjj.com.
Black belt Referees.

Saulo Ribeiro and Xande Ribeiro will be in attendance.
***All competitors and spectators must bring 1kg(2.2 pounds) of non-perishable food to be donated to the Daily bread Food Bank.

Corrections by e-mail:
The athletes can send one e-mail with changes on the registration, by sending a email to brittobjj@gmail.com with the subject ‘Copa Ontario CORRECTION’. The deadline is April 2nd, 5PM est.
Registration Check day:
The athletes must make sure that their information is correct by checking the website on the registration list for their weight, belt, academy, age division, and name information. If there are any mistakes on the information
(ei. typing mistakes by Copa Ontario organization) please send an email to brittobjj@gmail.com
(deadline April 2nd, 5PM est) .
On Friday , April 3th the brackets and schedule will be available online at our website.
After the registration check day, no changes will be made and no refunds will be given.
During the tournament, any mistakes on the brackets that were not correct previous to sign-in check day will lead to immediate disqualification .

DIVISIONS (NO Open Class)
Junior 16/17 year-olds
Bluebelts and white

Men
16 and 17 year-olds will compete in the same division
Athletes born on 1992 and 1993 are eligible to compete
Fight time: 5 minutes

Adults
The division is open for everyone, but athletes of other age divisions willing to compete here will not be allowed to fight in their own division (athletes can only enroll in one age division)
Brown and blackbelts will compete in the same division

Fight time:
Whitebelts- 5 minutes
bluebelts – 6 minutes
purplebelts – 7 minutes
brownbelts – 10 minutes
blackbelts -10 minutes

Women
There will be six weight divisions (check weight list)
Brown and blackbelts will compete in the same division
Adults only
Fight time: Whitebelts – 5 minutes
Fight time: Bluebelts – 6 minutes
Fight time: Purplebelts – 7 minutes
Fight time: Brown/blackbelts – 10 minutes

Each academy can only have two athletes in the same division (of age/weight/belt), count towards team point totals. We will take the first two competitors from each academy that register (of age/weight/belt) as being the two that count towards team point totals.

Before each fight, athletes will be asked to show their Ids to the officials. Make sure you have it at hand.

The athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their fighting schedule.

The athlete only can enter in the fighting area when is called by the official.

In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm up area, and remain there till the next fight.

No coaching is allowed in the fighting area.

All athletes will get event shirt

Medals for 1st 2nd and two 3rd place
